Your weekly horoscope is here, for the week commencing November 8th 2020

Astrologer Oscar Cainer lays out your weekly horoscope for the week of Sunday November 8th to Saturday 14th, 2020.

What we have doesn’t bring us joy – or make us miserable for that matter. The problems arise when we wish we could have something we can’t get, or live in fear of losing that which we possess. As Jupiter links with your ruling planet Pluto this week, you can safely put your worries to the side and look forward to a brighter future.

The fact that you’re feeling re-energised is a mixed blessing. In these challenging times, it’s not easy to cope with a growing desire to achieve a goal. There are all sorts of reasons why you feel you should pursue a less adventurous plan instead. But you are simply responding to the exceptional cosmic climate. You’re right to recognise a need and an opportunity. Have faith in your instincts.

Since time is precious, let’s not waste any more of yours. If only the pressure you’re under could be blamed on the list of things you have to do. At least there’d be light at the end of the tunnel. But you are under emotional pressure, too. Thank goodness you’re a Capricorn; if there’s a challenge ahead, you’re more than capable of rising to it. Shake off the fear of failure. The odds are in your favour.

It should come as a relief to remember that the worries of the world aren’t resting on your shoulders. You’re not 100 per cent responsible for anyone’s wellbeing. I’m not saying this to encourage you to shirk your duties; you’ve still got a vital part to play. But you owe it to yourself to define your boundaries. You may be tempted to let a challenge overshadow the good things. Perspective is key.

When you read your forecast, your eyes follow letters arranged to create words and sentences. As your brain makes sense of the words, memories are triggered that enable you to create meaning. I know this may seem obvious, but it’s surprisingly easy to overcomplicate simple issues and that can lead to unnecessary stress. This week, Jupiter and Pluto bring the assurance you have been seeking.

Has someone slipped a shot of caffeine into your morning drink? Just because your ruler, Mars, has been in your sign for so long (and is retrograde) doesn’t mean its effects have tempered. This week, the cosmos brings an extra boost of energy. There’s no way you will allow anyone (or anything) to get the better of you. If you have been feeling out of sorts, it’s time to get back on track.

We can’t stop ourselves imagining how life could be in a brighter world, and we make decisions based on what we hope to achieve. Dreams are intoxicating; more compulsive than a drug. In fact, anyone who insists they focus on reality is more deluded than those who acknowledge their fantasies. You have been contemplating an unspoken aspiration. This week, you will start to live it.

Comedy series Fawlty Towers is a perfect analogy for you this week. The storylines often focused on a secret that had to be kept, and a set of situations that made it impossible for those “in the know” not to disclose what they knew. While this made great television, it’s not so amusing in real life. This week, if you want to keep smiling, you need to see the funny side. It’s not as serious as you think.

Some people hide their soft side behind a tough exterior, while others show their vulnerability and use it to disguise inner strength. As a Cancerian, you’re capable of doing both to protect yourself. You are confused about how to handle a situation because you’re not sure how you feel or what you want to achieve. You can make headway by separating desire from need.

Just as two wrongs don’t make a right, two rights don’t make a wrong. It’s when we add lots of little wrongs together that the math gets complex. How many little rights would it take to cancel one massive problem? Of course, moral issues can’t be mathematically weighed and emotions can’t be subjected to analysis. The cosmic climate encourages you to stop keeping score. If you’re able to forgive, you’ll feel lighter and brighter.

Why are we so good at making ourselves unhappy? We’re always worrying about one thing or another. Rather than show our appreciation and support to our fellow humans, we allow resentment to alter our lives and form unhelpful judgement. It’s an unproductive way for us to live. This week, the cosmos encourages positivity. If you take a leap of faith, everything you need will happen.

When you close the door behind you, how can you know the room behind it hasn’t disappeared? Maybe it stops existing until the door opens again. Does that tempt you to try to catch it by surprise? We all have to learn to live with doubts and leave such mind-bending concepts to the experts. Trust the reality you see; your uncertainty about a person is uncalled for. You can let go of your suspicions.
