In a bid to help domestic tourism, the iconic airline has launched a huge sale of more than one million seats on city and regional routes.
The pandemic has been tough on tourism. But while international travel might still be a little way off, QANTAS is trying to encourage Aussie holidaymakers to venture out into their own backyard, with a very enticing deal.
With flights starting from as little as $99, the Flying Kangaroo has launched their Spirit of Australia sale of more than one million seats, starting from today and lasting just a week.
Passengers will be able to buy cheap fares across all capital cities and regional routes for travel from mid-March.

The ‘no change fee’ policy has also been extended until 2022, allowing travellers to make unlimited date changes without having to pay, acknowledging the ever-changing pandemic and border closures may impact plans at the last-minute.
“As the national carrier, we have an important role to play in helping the industry recover from COVID-19, and we know that given the right opportunity, people are keen to travel,” QANTAS Group Chief Customer Officer, Stephanie Tully, told Sunrise.
“Customers have told us that sudden changes to border restrictions by state governments are giving them second thoughts about going on holidays or taking a business trip,” she said.
She added: “By giving customers unlimited flight date changes for almost a year, we think it will encourage more people to book, helping to boost tourism which is so vital to local economies and businesses around the country.”
