How to calm your mind, body and spirit in 5 days

It’s getting to that time of year. It’s been a long winter. Work is out-of-control busy. And Christmas holidays still feel like a eon away. What you really need is some time to digitally unplug, de-stress, and centre yourself before the madness of the silly season really kicks in. What you need, is a health retreat.

The health retreat business is booming, and for good reason. Why waste good annual leave on a holiday only to return home feeling sluggish from too little exercise and too much of the breakfast buffet? The question is not so much why you should book a health retreat, but where.

If health is your main priority, may we suggest somewhere with a dedicated wellness programme to guide you through practises that you may not usually partake in, and that will reset your mind and body. Somewhere warm, tropical perhaps? Somewhere secluded, away from the maddening crowds. Somewhere that offers a holistic view on health. Somewhere remote, preferably powered entirely by solar power, surrounded by national park, on the Great Barrier Reef. Somewhere like Long Island’s Elysian.

Daily yoga sessions as well as more active pursuits like snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding will be available to exercise the body, whilst the mind and spirit can indulge in sound and crystal bowl therapies, spa treatments, meditation sessions and evening fire circles.

Wellness thought leaders Lee-Ann Lovegrove and Robyn Harris will be on hand to offer their guidance, and guests will leave with a ‘happiness prescription’ in case the picturesque holiday snaps aren’t enough. Where do we sign up?
